Topic
news The working schedule of the President of Belarus is always very eventful. Alexander Lukashenko holds conferences and working meetings on the most pressing issues of the country's development, regularly visits the regions, makes foreign visits and receives foreign guests himself, communicates with journalists, signs decrees and laws. And even when there are no public events, this does not mean that the HEAD of state is not working. However, even during his rest, be it hockey training or chopping wood, Alexander Lukashenko will occasionally find a reason for another order. As he likes to say, one must follow life in everything. The "President's Week" project is for those who want to keep up with the head of state, to be aware of the most relevant statements and decisions of the Belarusian leader. One of the main events of the week is a meeting between Alexander Lukashenko and the country's political headquarters - the leadership of the Presidential Administration. The main topics are personnel, the activities of the ideological vertical, improving legislation and control over the implementation of the instructions of the head of state,
working with citizens' appeals and the role of the President's assistants.
The head of state visited the Belarusfilm studio. A frank conversation with filmmakers has been brewing for a long time - Alexander Lukashenko, and with him the whole country, is waiting for a creative return on the invested funds.
In the Berezovsky district of the Brest region, Alexander Lukashenko visited the center for the preparation and use of unmanned aerial systems. Drones are now at the peak of popularity in military affairs, but the President advises not to get carried away with any one direction and "". Belarus has also made , which are in no way inferior to the best foreign analogues.
The President also visited the Grodno region. In Volkovysk, he visited OJSC Bellakt. The company specializes in the production of dairy products, including dry mixes for baby food. A promising one was discussed, which will significantly increase
exports and expand the geography of deliveries.
An important topic of the week in the statements of the head of state was the availability of potatoes in trade - an issue that was largely artificially inflated in social networks. Alexander Lukashenko returned to this topic at several events at once, but in most detail at a meeting with the leadership of the Presidential Administration. It turns out that certain figures artificially created a deficit and the matter had a political background. And the President also signed , which obliged retail chains and suppliers to ensure the availability of vegetables in stores during the off-season.
This week ,
MINSK was visited by another high-ranking guest from Beijing - Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress, Chairman of the High-Level Committee on Cooperation between the Legislative Bodies of Belarus and
CHINA Zhang Qingwei. Alexander Lukashenko was with him at the Palace of Independence, having told about with the Chairman of the PRC Xi Jinping to do everything so that no storms and snowstorms could disrupt the unity of the two countries. This week, Alexander Lukashenko congratulated his Chinese colleague on his birthday.
Another event - with representatives of the Kaliningrad region, headed by Governor Alexey Besprozvannykh. This Russian enclave is very close to Belarus in various ways, and the delegation that arrived in Minsk included three natives of our country.
Professional
holidaynoted by medical workers. Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that the time poses global challenges for the industry: without reducing the pace of relevant scientific research, to introduce advanced technologies, to raise young specialists - worthy successors of the best traditions of domestic medicine.
Alexander Lukashenko this week to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on
RUSSIA Day, confirming the importance of developing relations of alliance and strategic partnership.
The President sent to the participants, organizers and guests of the XXIV National Festival of Belarusian Song and Poetry.
The head of state sent to the President of India Draupadi Murma and the Prime Minister of this country Narendra Modi in connection with the plane crash in the city of Ahmedabad.
RUSSIAN ENCLAVE. Why Belarus feels special responsibility for the Kaliningrad Region On Monday, June 9, Alexander Lukashenko met with the Governor of the Kaliningrad Region of Russia Alexei Besprozvannykh. This region is special for both Russia and Belarus. For Russia - because it is an enclave that is separated from the main territory of the country by other states. In the current sanctions conditions, we have to rely mainly on sea and
air traffic . Of course, this leaves its mark on the possibilities of developing cooperation with Belarusian partners.
Belarus has more than just good relations with this Russian region. The President recalled that in Soviet times, figuratively speaking, Belarus was responsible for the Kaliningrad region. This was not only about the supply of certain goods. Many specialists with their families moved to Kaliningrad to develop and raise this region. Therefore, it is not surprising that the delegation of the Kaliningrad region government that arrived in Minsk included three natives of Belarus.
"We always know about this. If it were possible to count how many Belarusians there are among Russians and others (but this is impossible, I have never done this in my practice), then the overwhelming majority would probably be Belarusians," said Alexander Lukashenko. As for the development of cooperation, trade turnover has recently dropped somewhat, not least because of sanctions. Nevertheless, both sides are determined to restore and exceed previous volumes in the near future. "As a good industrialist, as far as I know (Alexei Besprozvannykh worked in the industrial sector for a long time, including as Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia. - BELTA note), you understand what we are talking about, and you will make every effort, help, advise so that we, Belarus and the Kaliningrad Region, do not fall in our trade turnover, but show an example to others in terms of growth in trade turnover. We will also try to achieve at least what we had," the President said.
"We see very well that today the restrictions that our unfriendly neighbors are creating are exactly the reason that does not allow us to fully realize our potential," the head of the region said in response. "We are limited by rail and road transport. We see a decrease in this flow, which is associated exclusively with the artificial creation of barriers by unfriendly neighbors. But
business has already adjusted, adapted. If not by these channels, then we will transport products by others. Today we have switched to sea transport." "Rest assured that, despite certain problems with logistics, we will deliver the required amount of food products. All kinds," Alexander Lukashenko assured.
Construction was named as one of the areas where cooperation should be strengthened. Belarus is ready to offer its capabilities and specialists in the field of design and construction of various objects, including large-scale and complex ones. Traditionally, a promising area of cooperation is the supply of food products, elevator equipment, passenger transport of various classes: buses, electric buses, trams, trolleybuses, elevators. The head of state placed special emphasis on the possibilities of joint work in the field of machine tool manufacturing. For Belarus and Russia, the issue of producing their own machine tools has become quite acute recently, so a specialized joint program for the development of machine tool manufacturing has been developed and is being implemented.
At the meeting with the governor, the head of state touched upon not only issues of the bilateral agenda, but also focused on general economic issues. In particular, on the need to increase and improve competitiveness in foreign markets. And also to focus more on the needs of the internal union market: "In the vast space of our fatherland, we need everything. You can't name a single product that our people don't need. We need to focus on this. And what we sell abroad is a plus."
THE MOST IMPORTANT ARTS. What Lukashenko's fundamental conversation with domestic filmmakers was about On Tuesday, June 10, Alexander Lukashenko visited the National Film Studio "Belarusfilm", where he got acquainted with the prospects for the development of domestic cinema. At first glance, it would seem that the issue is not a priority, but it has been brewing for a long time. The state spends significant funds on supporting cinematography, and, as in other areas, would like to see a return. An ideological return, an economic return (we are talking about income from rentals not only in Belarus, but also abroad). And in general, "Belarusfilm" is a certain brand of our country, under the brand of which many iconic films were released in their time. Among them are "Come and See", "In August 44th", "Brest Fortress", "White Dews", "The Adventures of Buratino" and many others. Recently, the film studio has changed, and at the helm of the Ministry of Culture is a young, energetic minister, Ruslan Chernetsky, who is himself an actor by profession. As they say, they have all the cards in their hands under the sensitive guidance of curators in the Presidential Administration and the government.
But Alexander Lukashenko warns that the next new team in his memory should not count on easy
money from the state. As they say in military affairs, the domestic cinema will have to be raised not by numbers, but by skill: "Remember: there will be no extra money. No one will give you any money for some new team. And if you, headed by the Minister of Culture, do not restore order here by September 1, the decisions will be the harshest. And do not think that we will simply remove you from your position."
The President did not rule out the possibility of financial support, but efficiency and return are needed to produce high-quality, in-demand films. Therefore, Alexander Lukashenko demands that the process of personnel training, film production, and the allocation of funds for this be "rigidly controlled." "Right now, we will fence this off with barbed wire, roughly speaking. 320 people (at the film studio - BELTA note) - please: produce, sell - live. We will start with this," Alexander Lukashenko said.
And those who produce results and offer promising ideas should be supported accordingly. "We are wasting crazy money. So we need to pay the people who work," said the head of state. The head of state talked to one of the young domestic directors during a visit to the film studio. This is Kirill Khaletsky, the
DIRECTOR of the film "Classroom" (about a young teacher who came to an agricultural town on assignment), which will be released in September. "My God, we have directors! You are like a useful resource to us," Alexander Lukashenko addressed him.
The President was also informed about the implementation of television projects on the premises of Belarusfilm. The Belarusian Television and Radio Company films a number of popular programs here. "It's not a pity to spend money on this if there is a result," he said. At Belarusfilm, Alexander Lukashenko also held a meeting on the development of national cinema. The President directly and bluntly, regardless of anyone's possible grievances, told the filmmakers the truth that neither the state nor the viewer sees results yet, and the return on their work is not even zero, and. And this is despite the fact that at one time the film studio was completely modernized and everything was done as the industry representatives themselves asked for. Recently, there have been no high-profile domestic film premieres, and even TV channels mainly show films from past years, but they no longer grab modern viewers, especially when there is a choice of many dozens of channels.
"Of course, we must not forget our roots, we have a good past, Belarusfilm. But we must adapt to the present," the President advised. At the meeting, they discussed the issues in which the state would be ready to lend a shoulder, the selection of promising directors, the training of personnel at the Academy of Arts, and the need to analyze the work of cultural institutions in general.
The President agrees with the well-known statement that cinema is the most important of the arts and it should be developed in the country. And there can be no ideology without cinema. But Alexander Lukashenko explained that he speaks so openly and critically about the problems in the work of Belarusfilm because in this case the state does not lose anything, even if someone is offended by what was said: "I have no other choice. Therefore, I tell the minister, the head of Belarusfilm: if there is no result, the harshest treatment. I asked you: "Are you ready?" - Ready. - Go, give us the result. If you do not give it, consider that you have deceived me. So do not be offended. I am not saying that this is how it will be. But if suddenly, an extreme case, - we do not lose anything. So let's not bring the situation to the point of absurdity."
POLITICAL HEADQUARTERS. Why Lukashenko demands that the Presidential Administration not play on anyone's field. On Thursday, June 12, at a meeting with the leadership of the Presidential Administration, the President set a number of tasks for the country's political headquarters.
The head of state recalled that the election campaign in the country has long been over. Promises have been made to the people, a strategy for the political, economic and social development of the country for the next five years has been defined. "You are the political headquarters of the President and a supervisory body. And a corresponding barrier from other structures before the President. You are endowed with a number of functions that place considerable responsibility on you for the result that the entire country strives for," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
The head of state emphasized that almost all key appointments and decisions made at the highest level undergo examination by the Presidential Administration. "You should in no case "enter into the situation" and play on someone else's field. You must be absolutely independent, as far as possible, and objective. The task is to form an opinion independent of other
government institutions on all areas of the implementation of state policy. You form my opinion," the Belarusian leader said. "The more points of view, the faster we will find the optimal solution to any issue. Therefore, the principle of "I am the boss, you are a fool" does not suit you at all."
Among the main topics of the meeting, Alexander Lukashenko outlined work with personnel, the activities of the ideological vertical, improvement of legislation and control over the implementation of the instructions of the head of state, citizens' appeals and the role of the President's assistants. The head of state also recalled Directive No. 11. "Improving the quality of management in general, ensuring executive discipline are some of the main goals of our work together," said Alexander Lukashenko. "No discipline - there will be no results in the work."
First. Personnel Alexander Lukashenko called work with personnel the main area of activity of the Presidential Administration. "As they used to say in Soviet times, the party's "hobbyhorse" is personnel," he said.
"We form and update personnel reserves every year, but as soon as a vacancy opens, we search for candidates for a position for a long time and do not find them right away. Even in the personnel register of the head of state," noted Alexander Lukashenko.
According to him, there are cases of insufficiently developed personnel proposals being submitted to the President.
"The Presidential Administration must take a principled, strict approach to the selection of proposed candidates. Personnel errors are unacceptable," the Belarusian leader emphasized. "With your tentacles, you must see the personnel as a whole, starting from collective farms, state farms and ending with the highest level. But you must discuss proposals for submission to the President collectively. I am simply warning you that responsibility for personnel appointments will increase. If there is a good leader, there is a result. If there is no leader, there is no result." Second. Ideology
"Once everyone hid from this term, but I firmly introduced the concept of "ideology". As you can see, today everyone is talking about ideology, even the Americans. There is no need to move away from this: no one has come up with anything better than to designate the process of all kinds of transformations, goals, and so on, put on paper, in a person's head. But earthly. Not like it was in Soviet times: everyone was trying to build communism, but no one knew what it was," noted Alexander Lukashenko. The results of the ideological vertical's activities have been criticized by the President more than once. "We have made various decisions, but we have a lot of formalism here," the head of state noted.
He demanded to move away from formal approaches and not hold meetings and gatherings just for the sake of it. According to the President, it is important not how many listeners are gathered in the hall, but what part of the people took away something useful for themselves during the organized event.
"We need to build clear ideological work in the country. We should not strive to hold more meetings, sessions, forums. When making this or that decision, think about how much it will cost. It is expensive," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
In this regard, the President also instructed to pay serious attention to the secondment of officials. In his opinion, not all business trips can be justified from a financial point of view, so it is necessary to restore order here. "I signed (a business trip - BELTA note) for a minister, for example. And the minister has a wholethe tail is moving. Therefore, take strict control and warn the Prime Minister, who makes the proposals, and others. This is a lot of money, - the Belarusian leader noted. - We also have a whole cavalcade behind the President. Let's come down to earth from the skies. Therefore, put everything in order, without looking at either personalities or ranks."
In April, the head of state signed Directive No. 12. The document is intended to take ideological work to a qualitatively new level. However, Alexander Lukashenko believes that the work of the Presidential Administration leadership in this area has been overwhelmed by routine.
"Do not try to formally approach certain issues. Work through them in a fundamental way," the President instructed. - We need to strengthen the personnel of the ideological vertical, reformat information and explanatory work with the population, free ideologists from extraneous functions.
" "TV is good, we have begun to conquer the Internet. But I always say, from the first day: we need to communicate with people. We need to talk to them face to face. People respect and appreciate this," the Belarusian leader added.
Third. Law
According to Alexander Lukashenko, the issues of duplication of norms remain relevant.
"This is a huge amount of work. I know what lawmaking is. And here we need to organize, we need to look at everything that we have "done" over the past 10, 20, or maybe 30 years, and "cut off" what we do not need today, leaving only what is necessary," the head of state said.
The Presidential Administration began working in this direction a long time ago, and certain results have already been achieved.
"This must not be forgotten," the President emphasized. "We need to pay attention to the quality of expert development of legal initiatives. We need more accurate forecasts of the legal impact of draft legislative acts submitted by the government and revised by you in the medium term." Fourth. Control over the execution of instructions
Alexander Lukashenko recalled another most important function of the Presidential Administration - control over the execution of instructions of the head of state (both written and oral).
"If there is no such control, if you do not achieve the implementation of the President's instructions, the President has nothing to do in the country. His authority will fall, and in the end we can bring it to the point that the people will think: why do we need this President at all? But in our time, he is needed. Whether it is me or some other person, responsible, leading, he is needed. But if he makes decisions, these decisions must be implemented with ironclad certainty," the head of state demanded.
The system of proactive control over the implementation of the instructions of the head of state has been built up as a whole. But questions about ensuring the quality and timeliness of the execution of instructions periodically arise, Alexander Lukashenko noted.
The President noted that he keeps many issues under his personal control. "And if I see that this has not been controlled and developed by the Administration, this has not been implemented in life, blame yourself. And do not accept any formal replies," the head of state warned. "The system of proactive control over the implementation of the instructions of the head of state seems to be built up, as you think, but we need a result. Not formal replies. Questions about ensuring the quality and timeliness of the execution of instructions periodically arise."
Fifth. Citizens' appeals
One of the topics that the President touched upon during the event was working with citizens' appeals.
"Ideally, they (such requests. - BELTA note). At the very least, requests should not reach the level of the Presidential Administration. They should be resolved locally," said Alexander Lukashenko. "But if they do, then in the process of investigation special attention should be paid to analyzing the competence of those authorities where people have not received help in resolving their issue.
" The head of state noted that he often sees how high-ranking officials, when visiting local authorities regarding this or that request, then declare that this, as it turns out, is not their competence and these issues should have been resolved earlier locally. "Why did you go there then, if you are making such a statement? If you came and are resolving this issue, then this is your issue too. You made such a decision. But think for yourself: who did not resolve this issue, who did not repair or paint this fence (for example, there are different issues). Who promised natural gas and did not deliver on time?" the President critically noted.Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that the government should see and know what people say about it inside the country and abroad, and on what occasions they make comments. And on such key occasions, the Presidential Administration should inform the head of state. "Collect this information, bring it to the level of the President so that I can get acquainted with it and, having accepted this information, make decisions," the Belarusian leader oriented.
Sixth. The role of the President's assistants
Among the tasks that the head of state outlined at the event was the revision of the functional responsibilities and the increase in the workload of the President's assistants.Alexander Lukashenko reminded that their functions require complete immersion in the life of the region. "Dmitry Nikolayevich, your task is to ensure that the President's assistants and regional inspectors work as they should," the head of state set the task, addressing the head of the Presidential Administration Dmitry Krutoy.
The head of state instructed to refine the assistants' functional responsibilities in order to increase their workload. After all, according to him, it often happens that a person seems to be working, but in fact sits back, waiting to be appointed to a new position. "This should not happen," demanded Alexander Lukashenko. "This is a disgrace."
The President drew attention to the fact that in Belarus, officials from the central government bodies are not particularly eager to try to prove themselves on the ground, in the regions, where real, down-to-earth problems need to be solved, and not just theorize. "No one from the Presidential Administration, from the central government apparatus has particularly rushed down," Alexander Lukashenko said on this matter.
Although, for example, in Soviet times, such a practice existed, and it was a reward for an instructor of the Central Committee of the Communist Party if he was sent to work as the chairman of the executive committee. "How many of us have gone from the center and shown their agility?" the head of state asked rhetorically.
As an example, he cited the People's Republic of China, where they partly adopted a practice similar to that of Soviet times. "And discipline - God bless you," the Belarusian leader noted.
"You must be immersed in the life of the region. You must know every corner of the region and demand, demand, demand," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized, speaking about the duties of assistants. The President expects from them objective detailed information about the state of affairs in a particular region. "I must not only know what, where, when and why is happening, but also see everything through your eyes: what is there on the ground and how our people live on the ground," the head of state emphasized. For example, if the Year of Improvement is declared at the national level in the country, then one of the tasks of the President's assistants is to ensure that every resident of Belarus feels it at the local level, senses some changes. In this regard, the head of state recalled the current standards for the maintenance of areas adjacent to residential buildings, and demanded that the local authorities work more actively with the population, conveying to people that it is imperative to clean up around their homes. If someone cannot do this on their own (for example, lonely elderly people), local authorities should provide assistance.
"And if someone drinks and wanders around and cannot clean up around, then make them by any means necessary, together with the police, but so that they clean up their area and improve it," the President demanded. STORMS AND SNOWGROUNDS ARE NOT A HURDLE. What the President said about people's diplomacy between Belarus and China On June 13, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko met with Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress, Chairman of the High-Level Committee on Cooperation between the Legislative Bodies of Belarus and China Zhang Qingwei. For the sake of this meeting, the head of state even moved his events in the Brest region, which were dedicated to , to the evening. Recently, this has been another visit of high-ranking representatives of the Chinese leadership to Belarus, and in early June, Alexander Lukashenko visited Beijing. "At the meeting with Chairman Xi Jinping, we agreed that we will do everything to ensure that no storms and blizzards could disrupt our unity. So that we can continue, as we have for all these 30 years, to develop and deepen our relations. You should know that we are ready to do everything for the People's Republic of China, which is in its interests on the territory of Belarus, which is located in the center of Europe," the head of state said. "We will do everything to strengthen the friendship between the Belarusian and Chinese peoples."
Alexander Lukashenko noted that diplomatic and political relations, good friendship between the peoples of the two countries are supported by a serious economic base, and many projects are being implemented with joint financing. "We are ready to further develop our cooperation in this regard," the President said. According to him, in the modern world, people's diplomacy plays a major role in cooperation, the basis of which is cooperation between members of parliament. "Our parliamentarians play such a role also because they are at the forefront. They directly face the problems of the people. And we are building people's states. Therefore, it is very important for us to know the mood of the people and act in their interests," the head of state emphasized.
In turn, the high-ranking foreign guest thanked for the opportunity to meet, despite the busy schedule of the Belarusian leader. He also conveyed sincere greetings from Chinese President Xi Jinping. "Mr. President, you are very famous in China. The Chinese know you well. We are sincerely proud that the Chinese people have such an old and good friend," Zhang Qingwei said. The Chinese delegation in Minsk also visited Victory Square and laid wreaths at the monument. "The Belarusian people took the first blow, stood firm and showed heroism and patriotism. This cannot but arouse our admiration, and we highly value the important contribution of the Belarusian people to the victory in the world anti-fascist war," Zhang Qingwei emphasized at a meeting with the President. "Unswervingly ensuring peace throughout the world, the Chinese side is ready, together with the Belarusian side, to firmly stand guard over the results of World War II and international justice, and to form a community of a common destiny for mankind."
DRONES IN THE AIR. How Lukashenko guides the Belarusian army to "go from the ground" On Friday evening, Alexander Lukashenko visited the center for the preparation and use of unmanned aerial systems in the Berezovsky district of the Brest region. This type of weapon has become especially popular given the experience of conducting military operations in
Ukraine , but in Belarus they paid attention to this area before, having created a similar center.
Now they went further - the President on the creation of unmanned aerial systems in the Armed Forces of the troops. They are tasked with conducting aerial reconnaissance, inflicting fire damage on the enemy, guiding and adjusting fire, and performing support functions in the interests of other special forces. Alexander Lukashenko listened to reports, watched a practical demonstration of the use of drones, and got acquainted with the process of producing drones. The President also unmanned aerial systems in service in the Belarusian army. Some of the models were designed and assembled directly by Belarusian servicemen - fighters of unmanned aircraft complexes units. These are, so to speak, original developments. Alexander Lukashenko talked to the servicemen and emphasized that such "Kulibins" must be encouraged without fail.
"It's good that we have such guys (trained drone operators - BELTA note). There's no getting away from it. They have solid work to do," the head of state said. "I see that young people are eager to launch this drone. Young people like it. And that's good. We can find many such guys among the youth who need to be trained, and they will fly." Alexander Lukashenko was shown promising Belarusian developments and drones that are produced at foreign enterprises. Special attention was paid to the means of combating unmanned aircraft systems. By the way, the development and production of electronic warfare systems has been one of the main profiles of the Belarusian military-industrial complex since the times of the USSR. And this area remains among the most important. At the meeting, which was held right next to the training ground in a military tent, Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that in the development of unmanned aviation and the modernization of the army as a whole, it is necessary to "go from the ground", without getting too carried away with any one direction. It is necessary to count money, realistically assess the needs and resources available for this. "The main thing is not to get carried away. You must always have a head on your shoulders and understand what we can do, what we cannot do, whether it is possible. We must determine what we need and in what volume," the President said. "From the example of a special military operation, we all see, on the one hand, the effectiveness of using drones, and on the other, the difficulty of fighting them."
"Of course, it would be desirable to have such a miracle machine that would work on all drones and deprive them of the ability to perform their functions. If we invent something like this, then we will not need any drones," Alexander Lukashenko noted.
In the meantime, drones are needed both now and in the future. "Perhaps we should go the route of creating three or four basic (types of drones. - BELTA note) and modernize them over time, if necessary," said Alexander Lukashenko. "We need to improve ammunition, missiles, and much more. And everyday issues. Everyone wants to live in their own apartment. All this requires money. Let's take all this into account in a down-to-earth way."
The President recalled that 7-10 years ago the military talked about the need to purchase other types of weapons and aircraft. "Today they say that it is not tanks or infantry fighting vehicles that solve problems, maybe not missiles, but drones. It is good that they did not get involved in this crazy billion-dollar program of weapons reconstruction. They did not rush, they did not get involved. Today it turns out that not so many tanks and infantry fighting vehicles are needed. They say that they are no longer on the front line (during military operations. - BELTA note), drones decide everything," the Belarusian leader noted. "Will it not turn out that over time we will again gasp and groan: "Drones, we wasted so much money, and they turned out to be not only completely unnecessary (they will be needed for a long time, and maybe forever), but they turned out to be not quite the weapon we were counting on. Therefore, we must provide for absolutely all options."
Another topic of the event is the creation of domestic means of individual protection for soldiers on the battlefield. These are bulletproof vests, helmets and other combat equipment that must be reliable, lightweight and at the same time comfortable. Belarusian developers have already successfully completed the corresponding tasks and are now working on further innovations in this area. Alexander Lukashenko looked at the options for equipping military personnel. "This must be produced," he emphasized.
MILK RIVERS . What successful experience the President proposed to scale up across the country The head of state also had a working Saturday - Alexander Lukashenko made a working trip to the Grodno region. In Volkovysk, he visited the Bellakt enterprise, which specializes in the production of various dairy products. This is the only enterprise in Belarus producing dry milk mixtures and cereals for feeding children from the first days of life, up to one year and older. Their dry mixtures for baby food were recently awarded the State Quality Mark and are in high demand not only in Belarus, but also abroad. The profitability of exporting these products is under 40%.
Traditionally, during the working visit, they talked about the situation in the fields and in livestock farming, the socio-economic development of the region and district. They also touched on a topical issue. As reported to the President, there are no such problems in the Grodno region. As for OJSC "Bellakt", the enterprise works well, and the President knows about it. Therefore, without unnecessary reports, he immediately went to the workshops to talk about development prospects on his feet.
The issue is about building an additional production facility for dry baby food. For this purpose, in addition to the company's own funds, it is planned to attract financing from various sources, including
a loan from the Development Bank. The total cost of the project is estimated at Br380 million. In this regard, the President warned that the subsequent return of funds is a mandatory condition. "Wherever you take it - from the Development Bank, somewhere else: borrowed - you must return it. If there are raw materials for the enterprise you want to build, there is a sales market and it is marginal, and everything you borrow, you will return within 10-12 years (this is a lot of money - $120-130 million), then please. We will not just talk, but we will support this project, - the head of state said. - We know how to do this. And it sells today. Any country must feed its people. Children - especially."
Alexander Lukashenko also raised the question of why not develop this area not only within the framework of one enterprise in Volkovysk, but also in other parts of the country: "This is our school, and it is easier to develop this school. We know how to do it."
In this way, it would be possible to solve the problem that the market is now oversaturated with butter, it is difficult to sell: "If we processed this
milk , which you use for
butter , we would sell baby
food . A product for which there is demand. We have enough capacity. If necessary, we restructured ourselves, produced butter. But for this (
baby food . - Note BELTA) there is demand." The implementation of the investment project in Volkovysk will allow an additional 61 thousand tons of milk to be processed per year, increasing the production of dry baby formulas that meet world standards to 15 thousand tons (a twofold increase), and expanding the geography of exports to countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
The head of state was also presented with products from milk processing enterprises of the Grodno region. Among them were Bellakt itself, Lida Milk Canning Plant OJSC, and
Molochny Mir OJSC .
