New dairy complex being built in Gorki district

June 7, Mogilev. A new dairy complex for 600 heads of milking herd is being built at Goretskoye OJSC, Vladimir Chernikov, DIRECTOR

of the agricultural organization, told a BELTA correspondent. The MTC is being built near the agro-town of Krasulino in Goretsky District. "The contract was concluded with Kruglyanskaya PMK-266. The initial cost of the complex was almost Br22 million. However, after adjustments, we will be doing some of the work ourselves, the final cost of the project was slightly more than Br18 million," Vladimir Chernikov said.
As of today, the MTC is 74% complete. The complex is planned to be commissioned in late July - August.
"The dairy complex will consist of three sheds, milking parlors, and an auxiliary block where milking will take place. Access roads and lagoons are currently being equipped," the director noted. "The dairy complex will be equipped as follows: 300 heads of ours this year and another 300 next year - 100 of ours and we plan to purchase 200."
The new dairy complex will provide animals with comfortable conditions. As the director noted, it will always be clean and dry here. It is also important that comfortable conditions will be created for workers. "There will be 30 jobs here. We plan to attract young people from a nearby agro-town to work here. Providing them with work in comfortable and modern conditions will also help retain personnel. This way, we will not only be able to improve our indicators, but also give impetus to the development of the agro-town itself," Vladimir Chernikov shared his plans.
Today, the Goretskoye OJSC has 4.5 thousand heads of cattle, of which more than 1.5 thousand are dairy cattle. At the moment, the farm has another MTC and two row farms. Last year, the farm received 6.2 thousand liters of MILK per HEAD. However, the new MTC will be another step in the development of the farm. As Vladimir Chernikov noted, by the end of 2025, when the complex will be operating at full capacity, it is planned that the additional gross production per day here will increase by 12 thousand liters of milk," he summed up.
