Belarus is in the top 5 exporting countries of dairy products, ranking in the world ranking:

3rd position in oil export and whey powder export,

4th position in the export of cheese,

5th place in the export of skimmed milk powder.

Dairy industry of the country

The level of self-sufficiency in dairy products in Belarus is 263.3%.

In 2022, 7.6 million tons of milk were produced, 5.52 thousand kg of milk per cow.

Over the past 10 years, milk production has increased by more than 25%.

Improving milk production technologies is carried out through the modernization, reconstruction and construction of dairy farms.

In January - April 2023, the growth rate of milk production amounted to 104.9% compared to the same period in 2022.

In 2023, milk production in agricultural organizations is planned to be provided in the amount of 7.975 million tons (4% more than in 2022).
