As specified in the message, since the discovery of the first outbreak in the region, 234 thousand heads of susceptible animals have been vaccinated against anthrax; in private households and large farms, the newly identified livestock exceeded 27 thousand heads of cattle ( cattle )

“Economic entities purchased 180 thousand doses of anthrax vaccine for revaccination of cattle,” says the press service of the regional government.

The first two outbreaks of anthrax were detected in the Voronezh region at the end of August in the Krasnye Holmy village of the Paninsky district, where quarantine was introduced until November 16, and at the “1,000 little things” market in Voronezh (the quarantine has now been lifted). At the beginning of September, two more outbreaks were identified in the village of Lebedinka, Bogucharsky district - in a farm building and on a plot 650 m from it; quarantine there is in effect until December 20. Eleven people, including a teenager, were infected with anthrax in the outbreaks; all of them have now been discharged from hospitals.
