A man set fire to his wife's family home in the Drogichin district.

August 15, Brest. In the Drogichin District, a drunk man set fire to his wife's family home, BelTA reports, citing the Brest Regional Executive Committee Department of Internal Affairs. A

67-year-old Brest resident contacted the Drogichin District Department of Internal Affairs. She reported that her 65-year-old husband had set the house on fire. Police arrived at the scene and reconstructed the incident.

it was discovered that the couple lived in the regional center but spent the summer at the woman's family home. "The complainant's husband, while out of town, drank ALCOHOL and went for a walk in the village. Upon returning home, his wife encountered her drunk husband and tried to persuade him to go on vacation, but he didn't like this. He started arguing. Then he went into the shed, grabbed a canister of gasoline, doused the threshold of the house, and set it on fire," the department reported. 

The frightened woman ran to a neighbor's house and called the Ministry of Emergency Situations . The fire partially damaged the house.
