4 August, Mogilev. Servicemen from different parts of Belarus are helping farmers in the Mstislav District to harvest their crops. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Captain Leonid Shchigelsky, deputy commander of the joint platoon for ideological work.
The joint detachment of 20 people is working in the Mstislav District on three farms: OJSC SGC Vikhra, OJSC Sozh-Agro and OJSC Mazolovskoye. Having received the necessary instructions and training, the servicemen went to the fields. Medical support has also been organized: there is an ambulance for these purposes. A mobile repair shop is also operating. "As in the past year, a joint platoon was formed on the basis of the 8th radiation, chemical and biological protection brigade, which is located in Starye Dorogi. And at the end of July, servicemen arrived to help with the harvest ," Leonid Shchigelsky noted. - Personally, this is the second time I have participated in the harvest."
As the deputy commander noted, military personnel never stand aside from important and significant events. "The President of our country set a clear task for everything to be harvested on time and without losses, because this is our bread. Farms need hands, so they turned to the Ministry of Defense," he said. "The military is always ready to lend a shoulder." Among those who came to help was the senior driver of the automobile company of the logistics battalion of military unit 33933, Maxim Radionik. "We drive up to a stopped combine, load it, and wait for the next one," he said. - Harvesting is underway all over the country , if each person approaches their work correctly, with diligence and zeal, we will always have bread, MILK and MEAT on our table." The combined team will work until the end of August. And if such a need arises, they will continue further. Harvesting in the Mstislavsky district is proceeding at an active pace - all farms have joined the work. About 30 thousand hectares need to be harvested. Photo by Oleg Foinitsky
