Belarus plans to increase agricultural
exports to Tajikistan, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food press service told BelTA following a meeting between Agriculture and Food Minister Yuri Gorlov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Tajikistan Viktor Denisenko.
The parties discussed preparations for the 18th meeting of the Belarusian-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, scheduled for September 2025 in Dushanbe. Particular attention was paid to further increasing agricultural exports and organizing the upcoming visit of the Belarusian delegation to Tajikistan.
Yuri Gorlov noted a significant increase in bilateral trade in
2024 , with agricultural exports increasing 2.3-fold. Traditional

cattle , eggs , and meat and bone
meal . The main imports from Tajikistan are dried fruit, cotton yarn, fabric, and fiber.
Cooperation with the Agency for Provision of Special Property under the Government of Tajikistan has expanded. As a result, 20 contracts have been signed between Belarusian economic entities and the agency, including for the supply of new products such as canned fish and chilled beef.
Cooperation with Belplemzhivobedinenie (Belplemzhivobedinenie) continues in the supply of breeding cattle and small ruminants, including beef breeds. In the first seven months of this year, nearly 1,400
HEAD of cattle were supplied. Nine Belarusian-made veterinary drugs are registered in Tajikistan, and regular supplies under contracts have been established.
Education remains a significant area of bilateral cooperation. Eleven Tajik citizens continue their studies at agricultural higher education institutions under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
By the end of 2024, Belarus was among Tajikistan's top ten trading partners, indicating that bilateral trade volumes had reached a historic high. The meeting participants emphasized the need to intensify efforts to expand trade and economic cooperation, as increasing mutual trade volumes is in the national interests of both countries.
