A Minsk resident got high on hashish and attacked his friends with a knife. The Investigative Committee revealed details of the case

In May this year, a childhood friend, a buddy and a girlfriend came to visit the Minsk resident. During the meeting, they were all drinkingALCOHOL . Towards the night, the girl went home, and the young men went to a friend's place. There they smoked a few cigarettes with hashish. At some point, one of the guys walked away and called his 19-year-old friend to follow him. A few minutes later, screams were heard. A few moments later, this 19-year-old guy ran back into the room, everyone saw that he had profusely bleeding cuts on his hand. The second one came in next, he had a knife, with which he again wanted to attack the victim. Then one of those in the apartment, also 19, rushed to the attacker and tried to take the bladed weapon from him, but was hit in the arm with it, and then in the back. While they were struggling, the owner of the apartment managed to grab the knife. But the disarmed guest continued to beat the second wounded man with his hands and feet. Together, they managed to stop him. 

While discussing their next steps, the young people did not immediately notice how their aggressive friend ran up to the window, opened it and tried to jump from the 20th floor. At the last moment, they managed to grab him by the legs and drag him into the apartment. 

Soon, the instigator of the stabbing went home, and the wounded went to the emergency room. They did not want to contact law enforcement agencies and told medical workers that they cut themselves on the glass. However, having recognized the knife wounds, the doctors reported them to the police.

The investigator, with the involvement of specialists from the State Forensic Expertise Department for the city of Minsk, inspected the scene of the incident, seized items related to the bloody fight. An examination was ordered.

Soon, the attacker was detained by criminal investigation officers. During the investigation, the victims, witnesses and the accused were questioned. Personal characterization material, CCTV recordings, and a number of expert opinions were included.

The 19-year-old Minsk resident suffered injuries classified as serious bodily harm. A forensic psychiatric examination was conducted on the accused. According to its conclusion, at the time of the crime, the defendant was fully aware of the actual nature of his actions and could control them. He admitted his guilt in full and sincerely repented.

Based on the collected evidence, the 20-year-old resident of Minsk, who attacked his friends with a knife, was charged under Part 1 of Article 147 (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code. With the sanction of the prosecutor, a preventive measure in the form of detention was applied to him.
