To prevent the supply of products that do not meet legal requirements to foreign markets, ROSSELKHOZNADZOR temporarily restricted the shipment of dumplings from Delikatesy Sibiri LLC (Omsk Region) due to the repeated detection of listeria bacteria in them.

The bacterium Listeria monocytogenes causes listeriosis, a foodborne illness. Humans are most often infected by consuming contaminated animal products, leading to food poisoning.

In addition, the Service has introduced a regime of enhanced laboratory control in relation to products of the following enterprises:

Bryansk Oblast

— TnV "Starodubsky Cheese." Butter samples were collected from a store in the Kaluga region belonging to a well-known national chain. Tests revealed signs of adulteration in the product, including vegetable fats.

Saratov Oblast

— Kurnikov, LLC. Samples of semi-finished poultry products (broiler chicken drumsticks) produced by this company were taken from a public school in Mordovia. Salmonella levels of 25 grams were detected in the products.

Salmonella bacteria cause salmonellosis, an acute infectious disease in humans, accompanied by high fever (up to 41°C), diarrhea, and severe intoxication. Salmonella can not only persist in food for long periods but also rapidly multiply if storage conditions and expiration dates are not met.

Tver Oblast

— OOO "KORAL". Pork half-carcasses produced by the company were found to containbacteria - listeria.

Republic of Mordovia

— JSC Chamzinskaya Poultry Farm. Poultry MEAT samples (broiler chicken carcasses) collected at a comprehensive school in the Kaluga Region were found to contain dinitrocarbanilide in excess of 1,000 μg/kg, while the maximum residue limit for this type of product is 200 μg/kg.

Republic of Bashkortostan

— Individual Entrepreneur A.S. Pavlov. Decoquinate at a level of 116 mcg/kg and dinitrocarbanilide at a level of 1.4 mcg/kg were detected in the sausages produced. The presence of residual amounts of these substances in finished meat products is not permitted.

Dinitrocarbanilide and decoquinate are coccidiostatic agents intended for the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis. Regular use of products containing coccidiostatic agents leads to dysbiosis, allergic reactions, and decreased immunity.

Also, due to the detection of an enzyme preparation – microbial transglutaminase – in sausages from this manufacturer, the status of “warning” was entered in the register of exporters for IP Pavlov A.S.

Microbial transglutaminase (mTG) is an enzyme that modifies protein structure. Its use is considered illegal and prohibited in RUSSIA, as this enzyme is not included in the list of safe food additives included in the technical regulations of the Customs Union.

Furthermore, Rosselkhoznadzor issued a warning to Dubki Plant LLC (Saratov Region) for the detection of undeclared soy DNA in poultry sausages. Samples of the products were collected for testing at a social institution in the Republic of Mordovia. Previously, an enzyme product, microbial transglutaminase, prohibited for use in food production, was detected in sausages from this company, collected for testing at a retail outlet in the Republic of Mordovia.
