French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to CHINA allowed another 15 French MEAT companies (4 slaughterhouses and 11 sausage companies) to obtain the necessary permission to EXPORT their products to China.

For the French pig industry, China represents the main market for exports to third countries (17% of exports), but above all, the opportunity to sell less consumed parts of pork (legs, ears, etc.).

“These permits make it possible to obtain an additional 10% of the tonnage. This opportunity is very important for the participating companies, as it allows a significant increase in the value of slaughtered pigs,” said Thierry Meyer, President of INAPORC, who was a member of the French delegation during this trip.

The meeting of French and Chinese ministers opened a new field for negotiations on the possibility of exporting offal by French pork producers. Valued in France as "andouille" and "andouillet", these products are very popular with the Chinese, who use them according to original recipes. This expansion of export products to China represents a potential turnover of 35 million euros.
