Prices for rice and chicken meat in Russia are falling, while prices for flour and tea are rising

Chicken prices decreased by 0.35%, and rice by 0.08%. In the previous week, from January 13 to 20, these products increased in price by 0.09% and 0.14%, respectively. January is traditionally characterized by low purchasing power, which affects the decrease in prices, and there is also an increase in the supply of poultry and eggs. At the same time, flour increased in price by 0.58%, black tea by 0.84%, and pork by 0.41%. Prices for a number of other products, such as sugar and eggs , continue to decline, butter and milk show a slower growth in prices. On average, prices for fruit and vegetable products increased by 0.5%, with cucumbers and potatoes becoming more expensive by 1.1% and 0.9%, respectively.

During the year, a traditional decline in prices for greenhouse vegetables is expected with the arrival of the new harvest . According to forecasts, by the end of 2025, the gross harvest of vegetables in protected ground will increase by 2%, thanks to the modernization of production and new greenhouses.
