February 2, Brest. In the Brest region, from February 2 to 5, the State Traffic Inspectorate strengthened control over compliance with traffic rules, the traffic police department of the Brest Regional Executive Committee told BELTA.
During this period, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate will carry out testing of emergency sections of the roads P83 Brest - Kamenets - Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park and P85 Slonim - Vysokoye. The traffic police drew attention to the fact that control of the road situation will be carried out on operational and civilian vehicles without special color painting. Mobile speed sensors will also be used.
Special attention
Law enforcement officers focus on suppressing traffic violations, which are the main causes of accidents. We are talking about violating speed limits, overtaking and maneuvering rules. Drunk drivers and people without rights, violators of the rules for transporting passengers will be identified. Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate also warn pedestrians about liability: for being drunk and for those who do not use reflective elements at night.
“Every citizen should remember that there is no place for
ALCOHOL and indifference on the road. If you see a drunk driver or a drunk pedestrian walking along the roadway, dial 102. Your call will help save someone’s life,” the traffic police urged.
