Food industry enterprises of the Tambov region continue to increase production volumes. Thus, in the first two months of 2022, compared to the same period last year, sugar production increased by 68%. More than 50 thousand tons of products were produced. Experts note that a significant increase is due to an increase in the carryover of sugar beets from the 2021 harvest.
In addition, there is a significant increase in the production of other types of food products. Thus, in January-February of the current year, butter was produced by 39%, milk by 28%, confectionery by 11%, meat and by-products of food poultry by 22%. In addition, the region began to produce 2 times more fermented milk products.
In just two months, the Tambov region shipped goods of its own production, as well as performed works and services worth almost 25 billion rubles. The increase exceeded 25% compared
to the same period in 2021.
“All industrial enterprises of the region are operating normally,” says the head of the region, Maxim Egorov. - Enterprises have certain stocks of the necessary raw materials for uninterrupted production.
