Agrarians of the Chelyabinsk region purchased by mid-January more than 8.8 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers in physical weight. So far, this is a little more than 15% of the volume planned for 2022.
The required amount of mineral fertilizers is planned to be purchased at a fixed price, which has remained unchanged since November last year thanks to an agreement between the federal government and manufacturers.
From how the purchase of mineral fertilizers in the Chelyabinsk region is carried out, they spoke at the Ministry of Agriculture of the region. The videoconferencing meeting of the heads of enterprises supplying mineral fertilizers, heads of regional departments of agriculture and food was held by First Deputy Minister Alexander Zavalishchin and HEAD of the department for the development of crop production and small business forms Anna Gubina. The event was also attended by Sergey Tropin, DIRECTOR of a separate division of PhosAgro North-West in Yekaterinburg, Alexander Kozlov, territorial sales manager for the agricultural direction of Uralchem, and heads of fertilizer dealers in the Chelyabinsk region.
“We must get the result we need from spring field work, with the use of fertilizers. Over the past three years, the experience of working in drought conditions has shown that without fertilizers it would not be possible to grow a good amount of agricultural products, - said Alexander Zavalishchin. - For all regions of RUSSIA, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture has established a plan for the purchase of mineral fertilizers at a fixed price, which is based on the calculation of the needs of our agricultural enterprises. Last year, the procurement plan was carried out on the whole, and we need to continue this work this year as well. According to fertilizer manufacturers and suppliers, more than 3,000 tons of physical weight have been contracted for January, which is 74% of the monthly plan.”
A fertilizer supply plan was introduced to guarantee suppliers a certain amount of sales at fixed prices. The rest of the volume they sell at market prices to avoid losses.
Representatives of mineral fertilizer suppliers said that there are enough products in the warehouses to ensure supplies in the required volume. It happens that farms apply for the purchase of fertilizers later than required due to lack of working capital. After selling their agricultural products, for example, grain or potatoes, farmers have the necessary finances, pay for contracts for the supply of fertilizers and receive these products on time.
“A lot of fertilizers have already been exported from the warehouse in Troitsk to the farms of the Chelyabinsk region,” said Kirill Rusanov, director of the supplier of fertilizers produced by Uralchem, LLC Demetra. - All that is needed - the need for our products - it is provided. So, water-soluble fertilizers for foliar feeding have recently arrived at our warehouse, which proved to be effective last year during a drought. There were more applications from Troitsky, Etkulsky districts. We see that interest is growing. Now agricultural producers are selling agricultural products, freeing up money, and they are directing it to fertilizers.”
“At the moment, there are no acute problems with saltpeter and urea. In December, January, the volume for the Chelyabinsk region was one and a half thousand tons. All this volume will be shipped to agricultural producers, - said Sergey Tropin, director of a separate division of PhosAgro North-West in Yekaterinburg. - There are still few applications for sulfoammophos, ammophos, diammophoska, azophoska. Farmers are waiting for loans.”
