A concerned citizen helped detain a drunk driver with a blood alcohol level of over 3 ppm in Minsk.

October 30, Minsk . The day before, a report was received on the 102 hotline about a car traveling along Akademicheskaya Street whose driver may be intoxicated. This was reported to BelTA by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of  Internal Affairs of the

Minsk City Executive Committee. Officers from the Pervomaisky District Department of Internal Affairs immediately responded to the report and detained the driver. His physical condition aroused the suspicion of law enforcement. 

A medical examination revealed that approximately 3 ppm of alcohol was detected in the offender's exhaled breath. The driver was suspended from driving, and the car was stored in a secure parking lot. 

The State Traffic Inspectorate urges all citizens to act promptly and to immediately report incidents of drunk driving by calling 102 or via the Minsk police chatbot.
