All farms of the Tomsk region are actively engaged in forage harvesting

As of July 13, farms and agricultural enterprises of the Tomsk region prepared 4.5 centners of feed units of coarse and succulent feed per one conventional HEAD of livestock. This is 16% of the plan.
The leaders are the farms of the Asinovsky and Zyryansky districts, which prepared 6.9 and 10.7 centners of feed units per standard head, respectively, or 24.9% and 30.3% of the plan. Kozhevnikovsky and Shegarsky districts follow, in which forage harvesting was completed by 17.2% and 19.4% of the plan, respectively.
In general, the livestock farms of the region prepared 3.4 thousand tons of hay and more than 52.3 thousand tons of haylage.
The region is actively caring for crops - more than 184 thousand hectares have been treated with herbicides against weeds, more than 115 thousand hectares have undergone insecticidal treatment against pests, almost 50 thousand hectares have been treated with fungicides against diseases.
Fallow treatment at the moment is 77.2% of the plan (34.7 thousand ha).
