In the Lipetsk region, great importance is attached to the development of beekeeping

There are 30 thousand bee colonies in all categories of farms in the region. In 2023, 705.2 tons of commercial honey were produced there. 95% of all honey production in the region comes from private farms.
In order to timely notify beekeepers of the Lipetsk region, the regional public organization “Union of Beekeepers” has created a group “Notification of beekeepers of the Lipetsk region” in the TELEGRAM messenger. Information about upcoming cultivation of fields is also published in regional print media, and announcements are placed on information stands in rural settlements.
As for state support, Lipetsk beekeepers can take advantage of the Agrostartup grant, which is issued within the framework of the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives.” Farmers who are ready to develop beekeeping regularly receive it. So, last year, four beekeepers received a subsidy for the development of their farms. Over the five years of the national project, 10 Agrostartup grants were issued for the development of beekeeping for a total amount of 20.7 million rubles. Also, one cooperative received 2.5 million rubles as a grant for the purchase of equipment to increase honey production.
