Don agrarians collected about 11 million tons of Don “gold”

Despite occasional precipitation, the farmers of the Rostov region, taking advantage of periods of dry and favorable weather, have already harvested more than 2.6 million hectares of harvested areas.

According to the Don Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the farms of the Azov, Myasnikovsky, Oktyabrsky, Volgodonsky, Semikarakorsky, Zernogradsky and Konstantinovsky regions are closest to the completion of the grain harvesting campaign, which have less than 10% of the area left to harvest.
The largest amount of grain was threshed by the farmers of the Zimovnikovsky district - more than 667 thousand tons. Zernograd farmers, who harvested almost 660 thousand tons, are in second place. Close the top three leaders of the economy of the Azov region with a gross harvest of 598 thousand tons.
To date, more than 10 million tons of winter wheat, 175 thousand tons of winter and 474 thousand tons of spring barley, as well as 237 thousand tons of leguminous crops have already been harvested.
