
ROSSELKHOZNADZOR requested information about the producer of llama MEAT from Bolivia and about the epizootic situation in the country in response to a proposal to supply such products to RUSSIA. This is stated in the message of the supervisory authority.
The Bolivian side made a corresponding proposal at the negotiations on May 29, the report clarifies.
The interlocutors also discussed the resumption of beef supplies to Russia. In 2023, Bolivia requested materials that would allow exports to resume , but received no response.
“The departments agreed at the level of contact persons to exchange official letters and prepare all the necessary materials,” Rosselkhoznadzor added.
The DIRECTOR of the National Service for Phytosanitary Control and Food Safety, Javier Suarez, said that Bolivia has already submitted a request to EXPORT llama meat to Russia.
“Lama meat in our country is of high quality and has little cholesterol. We made a request, which was accepted by Russia [for consideration],” Suarez said.
