Daily mortality from COVID in Russia was slightly below the record

Over the past 24 hours, 1,252 people have died from coronavirus in Russia, new data from the operational headquarters showed.

The daily death rate was slightly lower than the previous two days, when a record 1,254 deaths were recorded.

According to the operations headquarters, over the past 24 hours, the most deaths were registered in Moscow (97). This is followed by St. Petersburg (74), Krasnodar Territory (69), Moscow Region (64), Perm Territory (39), Rostov (38), Nizhny Novgorod (38), Sverdlovsk (36), Volgograd (35) regions, as well as Stavropol (34), Altai (32) and Krasnoyarsk (32) regions.

The total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the operational headquarters, is 264,095. Most of them since the beginning of the spread of infection have been recorded in Moscow (33,352), St. Petersburg (25,576) and the Moscow region (9933).
