A delegation of Russian experts and officials will go to Turkey to assess the possibility of resuming air traffic with this country, according to the website of the Russian Cabinet.
The decision was made following a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova and the chief foreign policy adviser to the Turkish president, Ibrahim Kalin, as well as the country's Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Ersoy.
“In order to assess the situation and prospects for the resumption of air traffic, the parties agreed to hold consultations between Rospotrebnadzor and the responsible departments of Turkey, as well as a visit to Turkey by a Russian delegation, which will include representatives of the competent executive authorities and the industry community,” the report says.
The operational headquarters denied the extension of restrictions on flights to Turkey until the end of June Society
During the visit, the delegates will evaluate the security measures taken at the tourist sites. The Deputy Prime Minister said that the decision to resume flights will be made on the basis of sanitary and epidemiological criteria, which will be approved by the Russian operational headquarters. The decision will also be influenced by the incidence rate in both countries.
