MINSK . In Belarus, veterinary and sanitary regulations for organizations engaged in the production, storage, and sale of dairy products have been adjusted. This is stipulated by Resolution No. 81 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of
Belarus dated September 11, 2025, which was published on [the website], BelTA reports.
As explained by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food's press service, the document includes veterinary and sanitary safety
requirements throughout the entire dairy production chain, from the receipt of raw
MILK to the release of finished products.
"Unnecessary requirements not related to veterinary medicine have been eliminated. Requirements concerning the conditions for the production of dairy products that are safe from veterinary and sanitary standpoints have been updated and detailed, including requirements for the organization of production control of raw milk and dairy products at the enterprise, production processes, water supply, auxiliary raw materials and supplies, and terminology. When developing the rules, recommendations from regulatory authorities in countries importing Belarusian dairy products, expressed during previous audits (requirements for ventilation, personal hygiene of workers at dairy processing plants, etc.), were also taken into account," the ministry explained.
Furthermore, current requirements for cleaning and disinfection, as well as monitoring their effectiveness, have been included, which are essential for the production of safe products.
"The relevance of the requirements of the newly developed veterinary and sanitary rules is due not only to the need to align them with current veterinary legislation, including
the law on veterinary activities, but also in connection with the Ministry of Health's Resolution No. 121 of September 29, 2025," the press service added.
The current veterinary and sanitary rules for dairy processing plants, including those producing
Ice cream and baby food products. The new version of the regulatory legal act will promote the production of high-quality and safe dairy products and increase the
EXPORT potential of enterprises.
The regulation will come into force upon official publication.
