
Luth emphasized that over the past ten years, price increases for basic products in Russia have not exceeded the overall inflation rate, and in some categories, have even lagged behind it. However, there has been a steady increase in production costs due to rising prices for equipment, energy, and logistics. The ministry is collaborating with parliamentarians and a number of other agencies to monitor the pricing situation.
She also noted that food production in the country remains stable, with growth expected in the pasta, semi-finished meat, canned goods, and dairy sectors, which is important for ensuring consumer affordability. The Ministry of Agriculture is also striving to increase the attractiveness of exchange trading and develop a national system of price indicators for key commodities.
