Growth of poultry production in Kazakhstan: achievements and prospects

Currently, the country has 43 poultry farms specializing in eggs, 36 MEAT processing plants, and 7 breeding farms. This diversity allows us not only to fully satisfy domestic demand but also to expand EXPORT opportunities.

The total poultry population in Kazakhstan as of October 1, 2025, was 49 million, a 6.5% increase compared to the previous year. In 2024 , 4.5 billion edible eggs were produced, fully satisfying the domestic market. Key achievements were made possible by the introduction of modern technologies that have increased productivity and product quality.

Kazakhstan is actively implementing investment projects to reduce its dependence on imports and ensure food security. In 2024, six new facilities were commissioned, producing 15,900 tons of poultry meat annually. Five more projects are planned for 2025, adding 45,000 tons to production capacity, with a total investment of 26 billion tenge.

The number of large-scale poultry enterprises producing 241,000 tons of poultry meat is expected to increase over the next three years, requiring 167.9 billion tenge in investment. This will allow Kazakhstan not only to fully meet its own meat production needs but also significantly expand its export potential.
