The Chamber of Lawyers suspended the status of Ivan Pavlov

The Council of the Chamber of Lawyers of St. Petersburg decided to suspend the status of lawyer Ivan Pavlov (included in the register of individuals-foreign agents). Pavlov announced this in his TELEGRAM channel.

According to him, on Tuesday a meeting of the council was held, at which several disciplinary cases of the lawyer were considered. The chamber decided not to impose capital punishment - deprivation of lawyer status, since the council "rejected a significant part of the accusations" against Pavlov.

“After that, all of a sudden, they announced a second decision to me - to suspend the status on the basis that I was allegedly unable to perform my professional duties for more than six months. I’m sure my clients will be very surprised when they hear this wording,” Pavlov wrote.

In addition, the lawyer was warned that he did not have the right to provide legal assistance to his clients, even on a free basis.
