Vadim Chagarovsky: Most milk processing enterprises operate at a loss

Dairy producers and processors must jointly decide on the pricing of raw milk. After all, domestic products in the domestic market are more expensive than imported ones. This was stated by the chairman of the board of directors of the Union of Dairy Enterprises Vadim Chagarovsky.

“Milk producers and processors should sit down at the negotiating table, sort out the marketing chain, because processing creates added value, and make a pricing decision,” he said.

The situation is critical, because the majority of milk processing enterprises operate at a loss, said Vadim Chagarovsky.

“Some enterprises have already stopped: in Chernigov, in Milkiland, several factories,” he said. - Therefore, if someone in the future will have euphoria from the increase in the price of milk , this will lead to the destruction of the dairy industry. There will be no one to buy those 2.7 million tons of milk that industrial farms produce today.”
