Watchman of the rescue station in Kobrin pulled a drowning man ashore

July 1, Brest. An employee of the Kobrin rescue station saved a man drowning in Mukhavets this morning, Vitaly Kulinich, chairman of the Brest regional organization OSVOD, told BelTA.

The incident occurred at 7.30 am, 200 meters from the rescue station. The officer on duty saw a man drowning 20 meters from the shore and immediately rushed to help. He swam to the drowning man and brought him to shore. The rescued was a local resident born in 1968. After being examined by the station's paramedic, he did not need hospitalization. The man was handed over to the police. He was presumably intoxicated .

In the Berezovsky district, the search continues for a resident of the agricultural town of Kabaki, who disappeared on June 30. The man was last seen at 7:30 p.m. at a local quarry.

Since the beginning of the swimming season in the Brest region, 8 people have drowned, the same number have been rescued. Most of them were under the influence of ALCOHOL.
