Signing of bill No. 5600 blocked

The website of the Verkhovna Rada has registered a draft resolution on the abolition of the decision of the Verkhovna Rada of November 30, 2021 on the adoption in the second reading and in general of the draft law No. 5600, writes agronews.ua.

On November 30, the Verkhovna Rada supported in the second reading bill No. 5600 “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine to Ensure Balanced Budget Revenues” on amendments to the TCU and some legislative acts of Ukraine to ensure the balance of budget revenues.

The purpose of the bill is to ensure a balance of budget revenues by increasing the efficiency of the use of the country's economic resources, as well as eliminating gaps in the current legislation. There are significant changes in taxation regarding the excise tax on alcohol , environmental tax, rent, income tax, VAT, single tax and others.

On the same day, Artur Gerasimov, a people’s deputy from the European Solidarity party, registered a draft resolution No. 5600 / P on the abolition of the decision of the Verkhovna Rada of November 30, 2021 on the adoption in the second reading and in general of the draft Law “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and some legislative acts of Ukraine on ensuring the balance of budget revenues (No. 5600 of 06/02/2021).

The text of the draft resolution has not yet been made public. But until the draft resolution is considered, neither the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, nor the President will be able to sign bill No. 5600.
