December 2, Minsk. Belarus annually produces 828 kg of milk and 137 kg of meat per capita. This was announced by First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Igor Brylo in the program "Markov. Nothing personal" on the TV channel, BelTA informs.

"For the main groups of marketable products ( milk , meat, potatoes, vegetables), we are not just provided, but provided at times. I will just give just a couple of figures. Milk production per capita is 828 kg per person with an average consumption of 244. The level of self-sufficiency in milk 256%. Meat: we produce 137 kg - we consume 99," Igor Brylo noted.

About the same trend is developing for vegetables and other products, the First Deputy Minister noted.

“Our country ranks 23rd in the world food security ranking among 113 countries. Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Spain, Russia , Ukraine are behind us,” Igor Brylo noted. “In 2019, we were 36th. During 2020 year we managed to climb 13 positions against all odds."
