July 5, Minsk. Investigators are checking the fact in the Minsk Sea. This was reported to BelTA by the Investigative Committee.

As it became known, on the afternoon of July 4, a 14-year-old teenager with friends went to beach No. 6 of the Zaslavsky reservoir. The boy decided to swim to the buoys, but did not calculate his strength. On the way back, he began to sink. The boy could not be saved. The body was removed from the water by OSVOD officers.

An investigative team worked at the scene. A forensic medical examination has been ordered to determine the cause of death.

The Minsk regional department of the Investigative Committee is conducting an inspection. All the circumstances of the incident are established.

This is not the first tragic case over the summer, when children from the capital died in the reservoirs of the Minsk region. "Dear adults, being outside the city, near water bodies, do not relax your attention and control the behavior of children. The Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Emergency Situations urge citizens to swim only in specially equipped places, not to combine relaxation by the water with drinking alcohol," the UK added.
