Growth in production of fresh dairy products has halted

A couple more weeks in sales of fresh dairy products will be felt reduced demand. But, as usual, sales will increase by the second half of September. – PioneerProduct

Market operators are actively preparing for this by negotiating with retail chains regarding prices for dairy products.

A noticeable increase in the price of whole-milk products can be expected only in a month, but the cost of production will increase as early as next week due to the expected rise in price of raw materials.

At the end of July, the price lists of the leading players mainly include the following price levels:

Sales of fresh dairy products in June were traditionally worse than in May, but slightly better than in 2020.

Summing up the results of the first half of the year, we are forced to state the end of the growth trend in the production of fresh dairy products. The figure remained at the level of January-June 2020 - about 503 thousand tons. At the same time, dairy products are stable in terms of (222 thousand tons), milk production decreased by 2% (230 thousand tons), and cottage cheese production increased by 6% (44 thousand tons).

In difficult conditions this year, not all operators, even from the category of large ones, were able to maintain stable positions. Of the TOP-10, four companies significantly decreased their performance, and three companies showed significant growth.
