Topic news At the regional festival "Dazhynki-2024" in Mosty,
the President of Belarus presented the V.I. KREMKO Production Cooperative with the Order of Labor Glory. Commenting on the award, the
HEAD of the farm, Sergei Kremko, noted that the agricultural enterprise faces the task of gaining a foothold and maintaining the bar in the results achieved. What approaches to work allow achieving such impressive indicators?
Grain: more than 100 c/ha For three years, the yield of grain crops in the V.I. KREMKO PC has not fallen below 100 c/ha. Over the past two years, sowing has been carried out on expanded areas of agricultural crops using strip-till technology, which shows the same high result as plants planted in the classical way. Data on harvesting grain and rapeseed in the V.I. KREMKO PC show that the future lies with the new approach. By the way, the farm has already prepared for the 2025 harvest, and most of the area has been sown in the same way. The exception is
SUGAR beet , which is still sown in the classical way - there is simply no equipment on the market to create a closed production cycle for this crop. - We are polishing the new technology on grain, we already see the benefit, - notes Sergey Kremko. -
it affects the cost of production, the efficiency of work, does not require a large number of people in the production of crop products. We will polish the technology, share the existing experience. We are not promoting it, we are still studying it - it is always difficult to be the first, but I think everything will work out. This year, the grain yield on the farm was 111.1 c / ha, in bunker weight they threshed 27,132 tons of grain ears. Rapeseed - 5,029 tons with a yield of 58.1 c / ha. The focus is on winter crops, which have been showing stable, high yields for many years: barley, wheat, triticale, rapeseed. The farm sows about 2.9 thousand hectares with these winter crops. Among the spring crops are oats, soybeans, barley, silage corn and grain corn. The yield of soybeans this year was 29.3 c/ha in bunker weight, and soybeans solve the problem of protein deficiency in animal husbandry.
The economic effect will be Almost two years ago, the KREMKO PC set a goal to improve the livestock sector. The head of the farm notes that it was last reconstructed two decades ago. Since then, climatic conditions, the size of the cows themselves, and the understanding of
the cattle content have changed . - Reconstruction also provides for protective measures -
quarantine
livestock complexes that provide maximum biosecurity, - emphasizes the chairman of the board of the cooperative. - First of all, we are putting in order the cowsheds, milking parlors, and
HEALTH centers. The process of decompaction of cattle is of great importance. We hope to complete the work on creating the most effective conditions for keeping cattle next year. In 2025, we will continue the reconstruction of the existing buildings for calves and dry cows.
Animals seem to respond to the diligence of people. The livestock sector in the V. I. KREMKO PC remains one of the most effective. Thus, the
MILK yield per cow at the end of last year exceeded 11 thousand kg.
The reconstruction of the pig-breeding complex is underway. In September of this year, a pigsty for replacement pigs for 600 heads was put into operation. The project for the disposal of liquid waste is nearing completion. Its implementation will not only reduce the economic burden on the farm, but also solve the environmental problem.
– Almost every livestock complex is currently undergoing either repairs or reconstruction, which will bring economic benefits over time, – Sergey Kremko is sure. – Of course, all this affects the profitability of production. But in livestock farming, as in crop production, we constantly invest in fixed assets and technologies. In both areas, in recent years, we have managed to mechanize production processes as much as possible.
By reducing planting areas, we harvest more KREMKO Cooperative is one of the largest suppliers of fresh apples in Belarus. The cooperative also grows vegetables for its own retail network: potatoes, cabbage, carrots, beets, onions. Thus, the yield of the second bread this year is about 700 c/ha, onions - more than 500 c/ha. But special attention is drawn to the farm's gardens, which occupy 329 hectares. This year, the area for harvesting apples in the cooperative amounted to 121 hectares of fruit-bearing garden, the yield is quite high. Apples have been grown here since 1988. – We are introducing new varieties and gradually switching to dense orchards with drip irrigation, – says Sergey Kremko. – Their optimized area will occupy 260 hectares. This technology guarantees a marketable appearance of the fruit and a high yield. Thanks to fertigation and drip irrigation, the plants receive the necessary fertilizers at all stages of development, and they tolerate heat better. So, this year we will plant 22 hectares of fruit trees using the dense orchard technology. Not all apples end up on the shelves, some of them are used to make directly squeezed juice. It can be purchased in a chain of branded stores located in the agro-town of Kvasovka, where the administration of the production cooperative is located, as well as in Grodno and
MINSK. These same outlets sell
MEAT ,
sausages , smoked meats, sauerkraut, and pickles. We are reducing the cost of production
Speaking about the development prospects, Sergey Kremko notes that the bar of 100 c/ha of grain is a serious result, which many farms consider unattainable. However, they do not intend to stop there.
- Having achieved high results, we need to consolidate and make the products cheaper with the same technology, - believes the chairman of the board. -
Economy - first of all, this task was and is put at the forefront in our farm. And we will strive to ensure that the indicators in all sectors are with the economy.
Sergey Kremko - on receiving the Order of Labor Glory:
- This is an award from the enterprise, the team for many years of conscientious work, for stability in obtaining decent results, in improving the standard of living. I am grateful to all my employees and specialists, working pensioners, people who stood at the origins of our farm. We have a multi-sector agricultural enterprise. It is always more difficult to maintain it than a highly specialized farm. But, as you can see, we are succeeding. We plan to further increase production and economic indicators and create even better living conditions for people.
