MILK production continues to decline

According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, milk production in January-May 2021 in farms of all categories decreased to 3 million 433.3 thousand tons, which is 5.3% less compared to the same period in 2020 (3 million 626.9 thousand tons). t).

Industrial farms produced 1 million 144.9 thousand tons of milk, which is 0.6% less compared to the same period last year. The most active in increasing production are: Ternopil (+ 13.2%), Khmelnytsky (+ 5.9%), Vinnitsa (5.8%), Kherson (+ 5.6%), Zaporozhye (+ 4.3%) areas.

Top 5 regions where industrial enterprises produced the most milk in 5 months of the current year:

Poltava - 165.1 thousand tons, Cherkasy - 122 thousand tons, Kharkov - 103.3 thousand tons, Chernihiv - 101.4 thousand tons, Kyiv - 94 thousand tons

Household households produced 2 million 288.4 thousand tons of milk, which is 7.5% less compared to the period under review in 2020. Production was increased only in the Ternopil region (+2.4%).

The data are given without taking into account the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol and part of the temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
