Ministry of Agriculture and Food: stabilization funds almost doubled this year

November 18, MINSK. Stabilization funds this year have almost doubled. This was announced today at a press conference by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Vladimir Grakun, BelTA has learned.

"In general, 9 million tons of grain were obtained this year. This is a good harvest. The state order for the supply of grain, cereals, rapeseed, malting barley has been fulfilled. Almost 1 million tons of potatoes were obtained in agricultural organizations, as well as 631 thousand tons of vegetables, 170 thousand tons of fruit. This volume allows us to provide the population of Belarus with fruits and vegetables and have EXPORT potential. This year, stabilization funds have been increased almost twice for all items: potatoes, carrots, cabbage, onions, apples," Vladimir Grakun said.

As for grass fodder, 30 centners of fodder units per conditional HEAD of livestock have been procured. "This will provide our public livestock with high-quality feed. This means that we will receive livestock products - MILK and MEAT," the deputy minister said.

"This year, the groundwork has been laid for the harvest of 2022. More winter crops have been sown, more ploughland has been plowed, more fertilizers have been accumulated. All these elements work for productivity and will allow us to start spring sowing without delay. In winter, we will repair agricultural machinery," Vladimir Grakun drew attention.
