MINSK . Belarusian specialists are working hard to introduce
MEAT products to the Qatari market. Prospects for agricultural partnership were discussed during talks between Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Ivan Smilhin and a Qatari delegation that arrived in Minsk to participate in the opening of the Belagro 2025 international specialized exhibition, the agricultural ministry's press service told BelTA.
In
2024 , trade in food products and agricultural raw materials between the countries doubled compared to 2023. Condensed
MILK and cream, whey, and other dairy products comprised the bulk of Belarusian exports.
Cottage cheese and
cheeses , and fish products. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food added that active
efforts are currently underway to introduce Belarusian meat products to the Qatari market.
Belarus has already completed the Halal accreditation process, which opens up opportunities for meat supplies. Technical issues remain, including the approval of veterinary certificates and inspection of Belarusian enterprises by the Qatari side.
