In Tatarstan, the cattle population decreased by 1.4%.

The number of cows owned by agricultural organizations, individuals, farms, and individual entrepreneurs totaled 323,800, an increase of 1% year-on-year. The number of pigs

decreased to 476,100 (a decrease of 4.4%), sheep and goats to 326,600 (a decrease of 2.2%), and poultry to 17,689,700 (a decrease of 7.5%). 

Tatarstan's Rais Rustam Minnikhanov gave the order to expand livestock farming in private farmsteads and large holdings, citing the problem of declining cattle numbers . 

On the eve of Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers' Day, the Tatarstan Rais celebrated the republic's leadership in livestock farming, producing over two million tons of milk.
