Successful development of beef cattle farming in the Moscow region: results and forecasts

Particular attention should be paid to the increase in pork production, which reached 20.7 thousand tons, 1.3 thousand tons more than last year. Poultry production also demonstrated significant growth, reaching 73.9 thousand tons, 6.6 thousand tons more than in 2024. These results confirm the active development of the MEAT sector in the region.

The largest poultry producers in the Moscow region remain companies such as Elinar-Broiler Poultry Farm LLC and branches of the Cherkizovo Group (Petelinskaya Poultry Farm JSC and Mosselprom JSC). These enterprises play a vital role in supplying the local market with high-quality meat products. The leading pork producer is Troparevo CJSC in Mozhaisk, which has a reputation as a reliable producer capable of meeting the growing demand for pork both within the region and beyond.

The government supports meat producers through various assistance measures. Specifically, starting in June of this year, applications for subsidies aimed at developing beef farming will begin to be accepted, making the process of receiving support more accessible for all producers.

Given current trends and government support, further growth in meat production in the Moscow region is expected. Increased production will not only improve the region's food security but also create new jobs, supporting the agricultural sector. In the future, continued investment in livestock technology and innovation is essential, which will improve efficiency and product quality. The Moscow region has the potential to become one of the leading meat producers in RUSSIA, contributing to the region's economic development and improving the well-being of its residents.
