According to the Department of Agriculture of the Tambov Region, the suppliers of grain to the livestock and poultry complexes in the region are mainly local farms.
Since the beginning of 2021, a slight increase in the price of protein feed and feed additives has been noted in the region. Grain prices are stable. No increase has been recorded.
The issues of pricing for feed products for animal husbandry in RUSSIA were raised by experts from the Ministry of Agriculture of the country.
According to the federal agency, in 2020, compound feed prices rose by an average of 20%, and by another 5% in the first two months of 2021.
On the territory of the Tambov region there are 5 pig-breeding complexes. The total number of pigs exceeds 1.1 million heads. In addition, there are 2 poultry farms in the region with a total number of about 15 million birds.
Currently, there are no problems with the supply of protein feed, feed additives and grain for pigs and birds in the region.
