The technical launch of production took place at the largest dairy plant in the region of the company "RumelkoAgro - Moloko" in Ivanovo. In the course of implementing a large investment project, the processing capacity will be increased to 200 tons per day - the Ivanovo dairy plant has never achieved such a production volume in its entire history.
Together with the staff of the enterprise and regional MILK producers, the Governor of the Ivanovo Region Stanislav Voskresensky assessed the work of the updated production. "Today is the first step towards a full launch of production, which, I hope, will happen in a few months, when the inspection bodies will check the quality to ensure that everything meets the standards. Our residents deserve quality products, and I am sure that everything will be at the highest level here. The main thing is that the price is affordable for most of our residents. Now prices are rising, everyone feels it for themselves, unfortunately," said Stanislav Voskresensky.
The Governor congratulated the staff of the dairy plant, the management of the enterprise on the start of production activities. At the plant, Stanislav Voskresensky also talked to representatives of agricultural enterprises of the Ivanovo region specializing in dairy farming. Let us recall that at the December meeting with residents, talking with the chief engineer of RumelkoAgro - Moloko Alexander Makagonyuk, the governor proposed inviting milk producers to the new plant. On the day of the launch of production, the heads of the farms got acquainted with the production process and were able to assess the capabilities of the revived dairy plant.
Stanislav Voskresensky noted that the new investor has undertaken to pull up local producers both in quality and in volume. The governor inquired: are the villagers ready to supply milk for processing? "A good plant with modern equipment, we will be glad if cooperation begins. We expect that our products will also be adequately appreciated, because milk is difficult and quite expensive to produce. On the one hand, it must be bought, on the other hand, so that our costs pay off," said Vladimir Botalov, HEAD of ZAO Garskoe. "We were really looking forward to the opening of this plant. We have been waiting for a long time for our reliable local buyer. Now we sell milk to traders and small factories, we also have our own small dairy. We are ready to deliver all the milk we produce here," added Vladimir Botalov. He reported that the current daily milk yield at ZAO Garskoe is about 15 tons of milk.
Other milk producers have also expressed their intention to supply raw materials for processing to the new dairy plant in Ivanovo. Stanislav Voskresensky expressed hope that such cooperation would be mutually beneficial. Let us recall that construction of eight more livestock complexes has begun in the region, the introduction of which will increase milk production - 30 thousand tons per year to the existing almost 130 thousand tons.
Currently, about 80 people work at the updated dairy plant. During the launch of production, many workers did not hide their emotions. The head of the enterprise laboratory Irina Sibireva has worked in the dairy industry for almost 40 years, starting at the old enterprise. "I am very glad that they invited me here again. This is our plant, our home, where the best working conditions for employees have been created, the laboratory is very well equipped. I think that in the future we will produce the best, high-quality finished products," she said.
It should be noted that with the start of production at RumelkoAgro-Moloko, the first stage of reconstruction of the dairy plant has been completed, which includes commissioning a workshop for the production of milk and fermented milk products, installing a milk tanker wash, and purchasing laboratory equipment. Equipment for the production of pasteurized milk and kefir and a line for packing products in PET bottles have been put into operation. The first batches of dairy products will be sent for testing to confirm their quality, after which the products manufactured at the newly built plant will be delivered to stores.
Let us recall that the new owner of the Ivanovo dairy plant RumelkoAgro-Moloko intends to develop a production site in Ivanovo. The investor allocated about 1 billion rubles for the modernization of production. The plans include a significant increase in production to the level of the previously existing enterprise - up to 200 tons per day. Suppliers of raw materials for processing will be Ivanovo milk producers and livestock complexes of the RumelkoAgro group in the Tver region. For Ivanovo milk producers, the new plant is a guaranteed sales source. Finished products will be sold primarily in the Ivanovo region.
The company is currently recruiting employees. At the first stage, 110-115 people will be recruited, and at the second stage, according to the head of the RumelkoAgro-Moloko company, Aleksey Melnik, another 45-55 people.
Let us recall that a large milk processing plant, founded in 1929, ceased operations three years ago due to financial problems. In October 2023, a new owner came to the company - a native of the city of Ivanovo, the famous Russian businessman Vladimir Lisin.
The production facilities have been completely reconstructed, the existing ones have been restored and new production lines have been installed. As part of the investment project, the plant's equipment fleet has been significantly replenished, the laboratory and all utility rooms for employees have been updated.
