Meat production in the Kostroma region increased by almost 40% in 2024

Governor Sergey Sitnikov emphasized the importance of ensuring food security in the region and providing high-quality local products to the market. In 2024 , the region's food and processing industry enterprises produced 9.87 thousand tons of MEAT and offal, which is 39.6% more than in the previous year. This growth is due to the expansion of the raw material base and the implementation of investment initiatives.

One of the successful examples is OOO Ladygino, which increased its cattle herd to more than 3,000 heads after reconstructing the farm. In 2024, about 25 million rubles were allocated to support agricultural enterprises in the form of subsidies for the purchase of equipment, seeds and breeding stock. AO Shuvalovo also significantly increased pork production, tripling it compared to last year. The region continues to support the modernization of production and the purchase of new equipment.
