This growth has been observed for three years in a row. Last year, Russian MEAT processing plants produced a record 2.5 million tons of sausages, which is 1.6% more than in 2023. Almost all of the products were sold on the domestic market, with exports amounting to less than 55 thousand tons. Experts emphasize that sausages are becoming popular due to their convenience, as consumers do not want to spend a lot of time preparing food. Analysts also note an increase in household income as one of the factors driving sales growth. Recent studies have shown that demand for meat delicacies such as bacon and brisket has increased by 13% year-on-year. In supermarkets and hypermarkets, they account for 25% of the turnover of the entire sausage category.
