The EXPORT of Belarusian agricultural products has grown by almost 30% in five years. This was announced by First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Igor Brylo during the 31st international specialized exhibition Belagro-2021.

“Belarus has something to be proud of. By the level of 1995, we doubled the production of MILK and almost tripled the production of MEAT. The country entered the top five exporters of dairy products, became a leader in the export of beef and poultry meat. We supply our products to 116 countries," Igor Brylo said.

According to him, the gross agricultural output over the past five years has increased by more than 12%. "But the most important thing is that in five years we have increased the export of our products by almost 30%: it reached $5.8 billion last year. The positive foreign trade balance from $155 million in 2016 grew to $1.5 billion in 2020," - said the first deputy minister.

“We ensure not only the food security of our country, but also a constant increase in export deliveries. We will not dwell on this, under the state program “Agrarian Business” we are facing quite ambitious tasks to increase production and exports,” Igor Brylo noted.

Supplies of Belarusian agricultural products to CHINA are actively growing . “In just a couple of years, they have certified our dairy industry, meat processing enterprises and a number of poultry farms. Now we are striving to expand the range of products supplied. China has already taken third place in our supply of agricultural products, I think the moment when it will take second place is not far off. - right after RUSSIA," the First Deputy Minister informed.
