In the farms of the Tambov region, work began on preparing seeds for spring sowing

According to the Department of Agriculture, the region's plant breeders have begun work on preparing seeds (treatment) for spring sowing. In total, this year it is planned to process over 116 thousand tons of seeds.
Pre-sowing treatment with solutions of protective and stimulating agents is carried out to protect seeds from diseases, pests and stimulate development in the soil.
Experts note that such preparation not only protects crops from damage, but helps to preserve the crop. In addition, the use of protectants is more cost-effective than further spraying with various means.
Seed dressing is environmentally friendly, since when sowing treated grains, the contact zone of chemicals with the soil is much smaller compared to soil application or spraying.
