The construction of a large fruit storage facility in the Magaramkent district of Dagestan is ahead of schedule

On Sunday, June 4, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Dagestan Sharip Sharipov made a working trip to the Magaramkent region. In with. Jepel, he got acquainted with the implementation of the investment project of the farm "Sad" for the construction of a fruit storage facility with a capacity of 10 thousand tons.
The area of super-intensive orchards on the farm exceeds 200 hectares: about 178 hectares are occupied by APPLE trees, 22 hectares by pear trees. As Kerimkhan Abasov, the initiator of the project, explained, most of the garden is starting to bear fruit this season, since the first layings were carried out in 2018, and by the beginning of the harvest, the farm intends to put its own storage facility into operation.
The construction of the facility began in March, completion of work is scheduled for August.
“Without our own fruit storage, one cannot count on the efficient functioning of the economy. We expect that during the harvesting period we will already store fruits for storage and avoid spending on product placement in other regions,” Kerimkhan Abasov said.
He added that the storage facility will be equipped with a modern gas environment regulation system through special microclimate control mechanisms.
According to Sharip Sharipov, the pear plantations of the Sad farm are among the five largest in RUSSIA. The farm is engaged in the production of goods in demand on the market, and its own storage will significantly increase its profitability.
“Agrologistics remained the bottleneck of our agro-industrial complex, this problem is being solved. We see that construction work is ahead of schedule, and the new modern storage will allow us to store fruits for more than a year and supply markets with quality products, including supermarket chains. KFH Sad is far from the only investment project in this direction: the construction of large storage facilities is included in the plans of Polosa LLC in the Suleiman-Stalsky district, Anzhelina LLC in the Derbent region, ”said the First Deputy Minister.
Sharip Sharipov recalled that after the completion of the storage facility, Sad Farm will be able to claim reimbursement of 25% of the capital costs incurred. The enterprise also enjoys a number of other measures of state support, he recalled.
