A review of the Mehrgon bazaar in Dushanbe. Honey, butter , dairy products, spices, flatbreads, fat tail, lamb , and beef . A lively trading atmosphere. Wholesale and retail, interaction with vendors, and Tajik bazaar traditions.

This video is a live tour of the Mehrgon bazaar in Dushanbe, Tajikistan , where we showcase real life, trade, people, and products. Our great friend, Ibrokhim Izatulloevich Bobokolonov, PhD in agricultural sciences and director
of the Republican Center for Livestock Biotechnology , accompanied us through the bazaar , for which we are extremely grateful!

Mehrgon is Dushanbe's largest food bazaar , a modern shopping complex built in 2014 on the site of old traditional markets such as Shokhmansur, making it a major meeting place for farmers, dehkans (dehkans) and shoppers from across the city and surrounding areas.

Mehrgon Bazaar is more than just a grocery store ; it boasts the unique atmosphere of an oriental bazaar, filled with the aromas of fresh fruits, vegetables, spices, meat, dairy products, dried fruits, and nuts. We showcase a variety of products: various types of mountain honey, flower and linden honey , thick kefir, traditional kurut (kurt), sour cream and kaymak, ghee, spices, black cumin, cardamom, and turmeric, large flatbreads, delicious halva, and much more. It's a true stroll through local produce and lively interaction with the vendors.

A special feature of the Mehrgon Bazaar is its retail structure . In the upper part of the bazaar and in the adjacent rows, many vendors sell wholesale and small wholesale, purchasing fresh fruits , vegetables, dried fruits, nuts, and spices in large quantities. Often, vendors who buy wholesale from them move down the slope and sell the same goods retail to customers who don't want to climb up. This creates a lively flow of both wholesale and retail customers, creating a dense commercial exchange and helping goods quickly find their buyers.

We also convey the atmosphere of lively interaction at the Mehrgon Bazaar —with greetings and stories from farmers about the origins of their honey and the types of flatbreads they make, tastings right at the counter, and friendly conversations about local trading traditions. This isn't just a market; it's part of Dushanbe's culture and everyday life.

If you want to experience the atmosphere of a real bazaar , learn about local Tajik products, how vendors and customers interact, sample Tajik products, experience the spirit of local trade, and see how farmers and farmers offer their goods, this video will give you a complete picture of the Mehrgon Bazaar in Dushanbe and its atmosphere.
