The former site of the Chuvash broiler in the Tsivilsky Okrug was once again filled with life by a new investor - VDS LLC.
The vice-premier,Minister of Agriculture of Chuvashia Sergei Artamonov and HEAD of the Tsivilsky District Alexey Ivanov.
“Yesterday we moved into the first poultry house, about 40 thousand chickens. The plan is to populate three more poultry houses every 10 days,” said Alexey Samarkin, executive DIRECTOR
of the organization. The site in the village of Aktay, Tsivilsky District, previously belonged to the Chuvash Broiler, which ceased its activities 7 years ago. The investor bought it and decided to continue poultry farming.
The chickens here are not kept in cages, a floor system is used, and the feeding and watering system in the poultry houses has been modernized. “Initially there was floor housing, and yet chicken raised in floor housing is considered more tasty,” the organization shares.
The poultry houses were preserved in good condition, but they still had to be completed. What’s new is the construction of a hatchery with 9 chambers and a capacity of 1.6 million eggs per year.
The process is controlled by automation - software control has been created: for 18.5 days, the eggs are rotated according to the specified parameters of the sensors, the temperature and angle of inclination are regulated. Then they are transported to other boxes, where the chicks hatch on day 21.
In the future, the company plans to build poultry houses for breeding stock, treatment facilities and a slaughterhouse for 1.5 thousand heads/hour.
The site can produce more than 2 thousand tons of MEAT per year, but in the spring-summer season “Tsivilsky Broiler” (this brand name is being considered) is ready to sell live poultry for households - 250-300 thousand heads. Sales are possible wholesale and retail. For example, on the first day of work, about 2 thousand chicks went to the private farm.
To ensure work, the agricultural producer created 20 jobs, with plans to add about 50 people to their number.
State support will also help in the further development of the “revived” site.
“Government support today allows the use of several mechanisms for poultry farmers - these are preferential loans for the implementation of projects, and for those involved in the egg business, the republic also reimburses 30% of the costs of purchasing equipment. Funds for the purchase of eggs and breeding stock are also reimbursed from the budget. It is quite possible, taking into account the requests of our enterprises, new forms of support will appear,” noted Sergei Artamonov.
