For four months, 222.4 thousand tons of grain were analyzed in the region. The conducted laboratory studies confirm the qualitative characteristics of grain of food standards by 98%.
Wheat of the third class accounted for 63% of the total volume of the examined cereal crop. This is 9% less than last year. The reason is unfavorable weather conditions during the harvest: prolonged rains and early frosts.
The leaders in the collection of valuable wheat of the 3rd class are agricultural producers of the Pervomaisky district. Their harvest consists of 80% wheat of the third class with high quality characteristics. This is a grain with a good gluten content of 24%, a glassiness of more than 44% and a natural weight of 790 grams per liter.
In the Shegarsky district, 71% of the yield consists of wheat of the third class. it is a grain with the highest gluten content, vitreousness of more than 44% and natural weight of 790 grams per liter.
Asinovsky district harvested 64% of the wheat crop of the third class (in 2020 - 56%). Most batches of cereals from this area are distinguished by high protein and falling number.
In 2021, the Kozhevnikovsky district provided the largest volumes of wheat for monitoring studies. At the same time, 63% of the wheat crop was determined by the laboratory specialists of the Altai branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center for Grain Quality Assessment" as the third class. Most batches of cereals from this area are distinguished by high gluten and decent natural weight.
Wheat of the fourth class, grown in the Tomsk region, is distinguished by a rather high number of falling (224 sec.) The maximum degree of ripening and filling, which was reflected in the natural weight and good flour-grinding characteristics of the cereal crop.
In 2021, specialists from the Altai branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center for Grain Quality Assessment" examined more than 420 batches of grain and leguminous crops grown in the fields of the Tomsk region for quality and safety indicators. Another 24 new samples of wheat provided by the Tomsk, Shegarsky, Kozhevnikovsky and Asinovsky districts are under study in the laboratory. Accordingly, monitoring studies of wheat in the Tomsk region will be presented with more accurate data.
