Lipetsk farmers harvested the third million tons of sugar beets.

The SUGAR beet harvest has crossed the halfway point.
A total of 3.2 million tons of sugar beets have been harvested from 63% of the area allocated to this industrial crop. This year's area under sugar beets exceeds 118,000 hectares. The Dobrinsky District leads in gross sugar beet harvest, having already harvested 510,000 tons.
The yield of sugar beets continues to grow. On average, farmers in the region are harvesting 434 centners per hectare. In the Dobrovsky District, they are harvesting 500 centners per hectare, and in the Lev-Tolstovsky and Chaplyginsky Districts, the average yield exceeds 530 centners per hectare.
"Six factories located in the region have already produced 330,000 tons of sugar from the new sugar beet harvest," she reported.Minister of Agriculture of the Lipetsk Region Ekaterina Markova.
