Agrarians of Kuzbass have sown more than half of the planned areas

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Kuzbass, as of May 18, 493.3 thousand hectares of sown areas were sown with spring crops, which is 62.9% of the plan. For comparison, on the same date in 2021, the sowing campaign was completed on 44.8% of the area (324.1 thousand hectares).
“Agrarians of the region show a good pace of work, given that we annually increase the area under crops (this year the increase is 24 thousand hectares). The task of the villagers is to provide Kuzbass with their own products as much as possible. To do this, the farms are modernizing their fleet of equipment, introducing new farming technologies. All this allows us to develop crop production and increase crop yields,” Sergey Tsivilev noted.
Among the municipalities in spring sowing, the Mariinsky (79%), Guryevsky (76%), Tisulsky (70%) districts are in the lead.
373 thousand hectares are occupied by grain and leguminous crops: 206.5 thousand hectares of wheat, 85.3 thousand hectares of barley, 47.2 thousand hectares of peas, 32.8 thousand hectares of oats have been sown, sowing of buckwheat has begun (1 thousand ha). ha). Under industrial crops - 98.8 thousand hectares, these are rapeseed (87.4 thousand hectares), oil flax (9 thousand hectares), as well as sunflower and soybeans. Potatoes are planted on an area of ​​3.4 thousand hectares (40% of the plan), 398 hectares (39%) are occupied by open ground vegetables. Farmers also prepare feed for livestock - 17.5 thousand hectares have been sown with annual grasses, sowing of perennial grasses (311 hectares) has begun.
In addition to sowing, farmers are engaged in the application of mineral fertilizers for sowing, as well as feeding winter crops and perennial grasses - 43 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers have been applied on an area of ​​287.8 thousand hectares. The purchase of fertilizers continues, as well as the preparation of agricultural machinery for the harvest season.
