Daily mortality from COVID-19 in Bashkiria breaks record

In Bashkiria, 12 patients have died from coronavirus infection over the past day, this is a record daily mortality rate in the region. The total number of victims of the pandemic amounted to 906 people, said the operational headquarters of the republic to combat the spread of COVID-19 . Over the past seven days, 65 deaths among those infected with coronavirus have been recorded in the region.

During the day in the region, the diagnosis was confirmed in another 286 residents, the total number of cases reached 52,300. 47,956 people have recovered since the beginning of the pandemic, 51 patients were discharged the day before. Mass vaccination against coronavirus continues in the region, more than 1.05 million people have already been vaccinated with the first component, 844.6 thousand people with the second component.

The country as a whole recorded record-breaking deaths from coronavirus for four days in a row. More than a month in Russia, more than 700 people die every day from the consequences of the infection, in the last few days the daily death rate has exceeded 800 patients. Earlier, infectious disease doctor Yevgeny Timakov predicted that in mid-late September, when people return from vacation, a second increase in the incidence of COVID-19 is expected. There is such a risk, since “a huge stratum of the population that has lost immunity after the first diseases” remains unvaccinated.

As RBC Ufa reported, the incidence of coronavirus among children is growing in Bashkiria. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, COVID-19 has been confirmed in 4492 minors, 65% of cases were registered in 2021. To date, four children are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices. During the entire period of the spread of the virus, 698 minor patients needed hospitalization, 14 of them were temporarily connected to ventilators, there were no deaths among children in the region.
